The Hispanic community work in our local factories and on our local farms. They touch each of our lives, yet we often don’t acknowledge the contribution this community makes. This conversation with Michelle Pinzl, Viterbo University Professor/Coordinator of the “Community Interpreting Certificate” program provides personal insight into the language barrier often experienced during times of medical emergencies or legal situations. This is not a border issue; but instead, probably a miscommunication issue. This episode doesn’t attempt to solve a problem, but it may help each of us to understand the problem more completely through another’s eyes.
